What will happen if nozzle & needle size doesn’t match?

Date: 2021-02-25

We offer 8 kinds of nozzle sizes in total which are 1.0mm, 1.3mm, 1.5mm, 2.0mm, 2.5mm, 3.0mm, 3.5mm and 4.0mm respectively.

This is to allow our spray gun to be used for different concentrations of paint,

Regarding the nozzle size and paint matching, we will write another blog posts. smiley

Let me first explain the function of the "needle tip",

When we spray the paint and let go of the trigger, the needle will move forward to block the nozzle hole,

At this time, the paint in the spray gun will be blocked by the needle, and the paint will not come out.

So we can think of the needle as a "plug".

When changing the nozzle, some users may forget to change the needle together so the size of the nozzle and needle is wrong.

If the wrong size is fitted, the following problems may occur to the sprayer.

If the nozzle size is LARGER than the needle size

1. Leaking paint:

The nozzle hole is too large, and the needle is too small, so that the needle cannot completely plug the nozzle hole,

So even if you have released the trigger, paint will keep leaking out from the nozzle.

2. No Spray:

The needle is too thin, which causes the needle protrude a lot from the needle.

When the trigger is pulled, the needle cannot be completely pulled back,

and there will be a situation that paint cannot be sprayed out. (refer to the following picture)

If the nozzle size is SMALLER than the needle size

No Spray:

Due to the large size of the needle relative to the nozzle, it will become a problem that the needle will block the nozzle hole and cause the paint cannot be sprayed out.

【How to distinguish the corresponding size of nozzle and needle?】

If you accidentally mix up nozzles and needles of various sizes,

You can put the needle into the nozzle, if the needle and the nozzle can be completely matched, is the correct corresponding size!

enlightenedNote

When using the sprayer, the low-pressure spray gun will produce air, so after replacing the needle and nozzle,

remember to use the wrench in the accessory bag and tighten it up!

(It is not tight enough to lock by hand.)

If the needle loose while spraying, it will be blown forward by the wind and stuck on the nozzle hole,

there will be a situation that the paint cannot be sprayed out. (But motor is keep running)
